Code of Conduct

ClimaCore is developed in the open, and the project depends on people with different backgrounds and levels of experience working together. This page states the standard of conduct expected of everyone who takes part: on GitHub, in chat, in meetings, and in any other project space.

Standards

Treat other participants with courtesy and respect. Disagree about ideas, code, and results on their merits, and give and take criticism of the work without making it personal. Assume good faith, and ask before you assume a motive.

The following are unacceptable in any project space:

• harassment, intimidation, or personal attacks, in public or in private;
• insulting or demeaning comments, including about a person's background or identity;
• sexual language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention;
• publishing someone's private information, such as a physical or e-mail address, without their permission;
• other conduct that would be out of place in a professional setting.

Enforcement

The project leads clarify and enforce this standard. They may edit, remove, or reject comments, commits, issues, and other contributions that violate it, and may exclude a participant from project spaces for repeated or serious violations. They explain moderation decisions when that is appropriate.

Reporting

Report a violation to the group leader, Tapio Schneider, or the project manager, Cheikh Mbengue, or to any other maintainer you are comfortable approaching. Reports are handled promptly and in confidence; the privacy of the person reporting is respected.
